Plascon House Tour: The Simple Life
People are more prone to move towards a simple way of life that encourages rest and tranquility in our modern age. Today’s striking abode is just that – a celebration of the simple things in life! Simple. Uncluttered. Modern.
The interior is cool and Scandi – a celebration of muted tones, natural lighting and open spaces that are perfect for modern living. Indoor-outdoor living is a great feature in this home as doors open up to a welcoming patio area and extend the living space outside.
Gorgeous wooden tones are paired with white walls and pops of black accents that add to the Scandinavian style of this space. Streamlined kitchen cupboards are seamless and contemporary – a feature in this open plan area. Simple metal framed barstools and a group of light pendants add to the minimalist flair that is all-encompassing in this home.
Striking glass doors framed in black metal are stand-out features in the living room. A simple colour palette with mostly white adds to the feel of clarity and openness in this room and we love the oversized light pendant, like a broken shell, that adds another dimension to this interior. A mix of glass, mirror, metal, wood and soft furnishings come together in this room, and instead of overwhelming the senses, are kept in balance through a muted colour palette that is actually quite cool and soothing!
The bedroom too is a celebration of that simple life that we all aspire to achieve. A haven from the bustle of city life, things are kept minimalist and calm here. A simple log as beside table with wall-mounted light adds to the Scandi vibe of this room. Bedding is ever-so inviting in sheer fabrics and layers of linen that beckons us inside.
The end result is a beautifully sleek, modern and Scandi home that offers a tranquil ambience ideal for peace and relaxation.
