Plascon House Tour: Serene Spanish Living
Today’s house tour takes us into a classic, balanced and serene interior in the centre of a village in Spain. This 70sqm house boasts a lovely little garden, and the interior is light with gorgeous white wood finishes and ample lighting.
The kitchen and dining areas feel fresh and vibrant with wooden accents (natural and white) and bursts of greenery in vases scattered throughout this space. The dining area is situated adjacent to a fireplace and on the other end of the room, a sliding door that leads to the garden. Although compact, everything seems to have its place here and the overall feel is one that is lived in, natural and peaceful.
The lounge takes on a bright and contemporary feel and the wooden ceiling beams add charm to this abode. We also love the elegant choice of the chandelier which brings a touch of glam and a sense of luxury here. An oversized couch works wonderfully in this space and a striking geometric rug adds a playful pattern while successfully tying the colour palette of the entire room together beautifully.
An array of little side tables offer functionality in this room and we love the energy created by the natural elements including baskets, woven fabrics and plants (both inside and from those peeping through the windows outside).
The bedrooms too are fresh and modern. Here we have a soft colour palette of pinks and purples with striking grey bed and side table. We love the use of wooden shutters that can be opened up to enjoy the full garden views. This is the ideal children’s bedroom but the bed is also positioned in such a way that it can also function as a day bed.
In the main bedroom, a neutral palette adds to the serene ambience of the room. A gorgeous wooden bead chandelier adds style to this room and a mix of textures and linen adds some colour and aesthetic stimulation here. We love that it is a light-filled idyllic space – a great spot to unwind and relax.
