Plascon House Tour: Modern Glamour Meets Industrial Living
A beautiful townhouse makes for a glamourous and festive family home in the south of London. It is here where modern glamour meets industrial living with a fascinating mix of textures and deep tones that give this home depth and soul.
The kitchen comes to life in beautiful industrial finishes such as a raw brick feature wall, gorgeous wooden flooring and statement lighting grouped above a charcoal painted kitchen island. Instead of this space feeling dark and closed off, the natural lighting gives it a modern, light and open ambience with a skylight for added lighting here. Hints of colour shine through with canary yellow stools that add a pop of vibrancy in this room.
The living room is beautiful and cosy – centred around a feature fireplace. Interesting textures and tones add to the comfort of this space with striking wall art as a feature above the mantel – also hinting at Christmas. Built-in bookshelves create a personalised library space for the owners and also serve as the ideal display of festive decor with fairy lights, stars and more. An aqua ottoman is a wonderfully bright addition to this space and we love the colourful area rug that lifts this space with vibrancy.
Urban glamour oozes forth from the downstairs cloakroom, completely decked out in tropical wallpaper. Bronze and golden finishes adds to the luxury ambience in this space and we love the bright bold blue tones used to add interest in this designer room. Lighting is key here as the colour palette is rather dark but designers cleverly incorporated ambient lighting for a touch of romance and modern chic appeal here.
Where the bathroom is ornate and filled with interesting patterns and colours, the bedroom celebrates a calmer ambience with a sleek and sophisticated look. A green hued paint shade was chosen for the relaxed feel it gives as you walk in. A modern poster-bed adds to the luxurious feel of this space.
