Plascon House Tour: A Glimpse of Vintage Decadence
There is something captivating about today’s eclectic apartment that we can’t quite put our fingers on. Perhaps it is the interesting choice of furniture and storage, the array of fascinating colours used in the interior, or perhaps the choice of intriguing vintage pieces. Perhaps it is a combination of all three!
In the open plan living space, a beautiful installation of hanging greens adds to the fresh appeal of this area, complete with a glassed-in interior greenhouse. In fact, plants bring this home to life, and can be found beautifully scattered in just about every room.
A mix of soft pastel tones in pink and blue bring depth to the sitting room, where a custom bookshelf extends all the way around the room – home to a colourful collection of vintage books, decor and planters.
Art on the walls give this space a modern, eclectic feel and we love the combination of old-world charm with vintage furniture and a character-filled leather couch, in contrast with the contemporary flair of the art deco pieces in this space. Our overall impression is one of decadence – a space where old meets new!
Everything has it’s home here in a colourful palette of pastels infused into the various details of this space, from the pastel blue bookcase to the scatters, soft pink walls and choice of soft furnishings used. The metal frames of the side tables too emulate the various shades of pastels that tie the room together.
Pretty in pink, the study feels bright and inviting. A solid grey desk and chair take centre stage here, with gold accents and a wonderful creeper that extends up the window.
Darker shades of grey evoke a sense of calm in the bedroom where pops of colour are again used to bring life to this fascinating space.
