Plascon House Tour: Elegant Period Home
Today’s home is a four-storey 19th Century abode located Boston, USA. Although a period building, the interior is filled with customised finishes, a variety of prints and interesting pieces that bring with it a modern elegance.
In the kitchen, beautiful black and brass finishes make a statement against the white interior, complete with white subway backsplash and gorgeous natural stone kitchen island. The oven and extractor hood are simply striking in this dramatic finishes that evoke a sense of luxury and elegant living here.
Dramatic flourishes reboot this period home so that it enjoys an individual mix of vibrant hues, powerful wallpapers and bespoke craftsmanship. We love the wonderful collection of prints and textures – a playful combination of unusual finishes that add a sense of opulent living in this home.
A complementary brass sink completes the look in this stylish kitchen, with a beautiful lighting fitting in similar shades that bring a sense of drama to this space. A striking floral installation on the adjacent walls further adds drama and style.
Pops of teal bring vibrancy to the dining room – in a striking geometric design that extends up the walls. Here, a beautiful rosewood dining table fills the room, with a playful glass domed chandelier that adds colour. Together with the patterned blinds and interesting choice of wallpaper, the room feels bright and trendy – with ample natural lighting pouring in through the many windows.
The master bedroom is bold and energy-filled with darker shades on the wall offset by beautiful nature-inspired roll-up shades over the windows. A full-length mirror was given a new lease on life in a vibrant blue shade and vintage furniture pieces, including a dresser and wooden chair, add a sense of whimsy to this room.
