Plascon House Tour: Contemporary Classic
Modern in bold black and white, today’s home is a fabulous contemporary classic residence. Once dark and closed-in, a full renovation saw light trickling into every nook of this beautifully styled abode.
A complete makeover ensured that this home increased in size, light and value – and we are in love with the end result. Beautiful contemporary furniture add to the modern elegance of this designer home, from the living room which boasts a classic yet stylish look with gorgeous grey sofas and wide open spaces. We love the sleek look with modern nesting tables and raw hide rug that help to elevate the design style of this room. The main feature is the bi-fold steel doors and windows which not only add a French Provincial look to this home but also allow for a stream of light into a once darkened interior. Sheer drapes also help to maximise the light in the room with a beautiful reflective quality as light and air intertwine through the luminous fabrics used. The kitchen is a real stunner with beautiful crisp black cabinets that add a designer touch and a wonderfully modern island that is the central feature in the open plan area. Complete with bespoke bar stools, marble finishes and stainless steel – the room is contemporary and oh so cool. The bathroom takes on a bit of a quirky shape but is well utilised in terms of the odd layout with an angular ceiling. The all-white effect with a striking marbelised pattern on the walls creates a contemporary look that is clean and fresh with a gorgeous walk-in shower with frameless glass that is perfectly on trend and ideal for modern living.
