Plascon House Tour: An Artisan Home of Colour & Delight
Step inside this colourful artisan home, once a forties modernist house, located in Paris’ 20th arrondissement. Each room comes alive in an array of bright hues that infuse life and energy into this family abode.
Vivid blues, yellows and greens are on beautiful display in the living room of this fascinating abode. Here the tones of nature are amplified indoors, while we get a full view of the garden and patio area with its plush greenery and natural landscape just outdoors. The interior colours are punctuated by a dramatic shot of turquoise in the low-slung sofas, which is a beautiful and modern addition to this space.
The kitchen is a little quirky and playful in lime green and grey. Cabinets feel like a checkers board here. A large kitchen island makes for a very practical use of space while modern overhead lighting complements the owners’ choice of colour palette.
The dining room presents itself in matching tones with dramatic lime green wall and gorgeous woven wall lighting pendants that gently perch over the rustic table. A simple arrangement of frames on the wall creates an interesting gallery wall of art here and we love the simplicity of this space which comes alive in the bright choice of paint colour.
The oweners’ passion for travel is ever present in the bedrooms. In the guest room, a wall filled with tribal-inspired decor takes centre stage, including rattan wall hangings to a beautiful textured Moroccan rug. A mix of colours – with pops of yellow and blue – again bring a sense of renewed energy into this space.
The guest ensuite is striking in a raw concrete finishe with striking geometric flooring tiles. We love the vibrant choice of colour combinations with grey and mustard that so easily catch the eye here.
