Plascon House Tour: A Colourful London Home
A once outdated Victorian residence was fully refurbished into a playful, modern and practical family home. Today this beautiful abode is filled with bold colours and a fusion of vintage and modern furniture.
This modern family home was completely restructured from its former existence to accommodate the owners’ desire for a practical family abode. Rooms were masterfully reconfigured and resized to maximise light and space throughout this home.
A palette of bold colours was selected to enhance the interior. From bold blues and pops of bright shades, each of the rooms come alive in a playful collection of tones. A playful mix of old and new furniture adds to the overall appeal of this home. Modern and high-end lighting finishes off each space.
A mix of textures further adds to the warmth of the family room, with colourful carpets and a mix of scatters in bold shades. Each brings a beautiful textural aesthetic to this space while large windows and doors lead to a sublime outdoor entertainment space and garden. Ample light floods the family room, reflecting off the deep blue walls and giving this family room a bright and happy ambience.
A contemporary kitchen becomes a focal point in this home. Here, a bespoke, hand-made kitchen with a Basaltina worktop was made and installed. The single shelf above the units incorporated the extraction. The banquette overlooking the garden also provides extra storage below.
The bedrooms boast calming tones with modern furnishings that create a peaceful space for rest and relaxation. The bathrooms are equally tranquil with striking finishes that include brass sanitaryware and brilliant lighting. It certainly adds to the sense of glamour that can be found here.
Overall, this home is a beautiful and playful residence – ideal for a growing family.
