Humbert & Poyet Reveal The Design of the New Beefbar in Doha
The renowned architecture and interior design agency Humbert & Poyet, present the Beefbar Doha, the first Beefbar destination in Qatar. Set within the majestic Lusail Yacht Club, a contemporary glass building offering panoramic sea views, Beefbar Doha exemplifies the innovative vision and unique creative universe of Humbert & Poyet.
Designed as a pavilion seemingly floating on water, Beefbar Doha spans two floors, each restaurant boasting its distinctive identity and ambiance that resonates throughout the meticulously crafted design. Humbert & Poyet reinterpret codes from neo-classical antiquarian architecture, blended with inspirations of French Art Deco and Art Nouveau. The result is a harmonious fusion of elegant lines, brass detailing, fluted columns, and curved arches.
Collaborating with local craftsmen, bespoke features such as stained-glass partitions, light fixtures, seating, and tables decorate the space. Local materials, including marble, were sourced to infuse a sense of the surroundings into the design.
The Entrance
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a custom-made desk crafted from Verdi Mediterraneao marble and adorned with brass detailing, accompanied by a bas relief wall featuring a natural vegetal design.
Beefbar Restaurant
The downstairs restaurant, with its bright, fresh, and elegant palette dominated by blue hues, caters to a more conservative fine dining experience. Fluted columns, notched travertine or Verde Luana marble partitions, and velvet banquet seating contribute to a sophisticated atmosphere, with organic patterned stained-glass screens providing intimate alcoves in the space.
Private Dining
The ceiling of the private dining room features a decoratively painted natural pattern of linear vines, complemented by the large marble and travertine tables. In this space, the curved windows echoes elements of the interior architecture, with the Verdi Alpi marble doorways and fluted wall panelling, continuing the reimagining of classical codes.
Beefbar Lounge
Ascending to the upstairs restaurant, rendered in pastel hues, guests are enveloped in a festive ambiance with the offer of live music. Drawing inspiration from the eclectic styles of the 1930s, the space features Art Deco and Art Nouveau fabrics and shapes, alternating Navona travertine, Verdi Alpi marble, and pink marble panels for the floors, and grand 6-metre-high ceilings punctuated by striking columns with decorative ceramic capitals.
The Outdoor Terrace
The outside terrace seamlessly extends the interior themes, creating an ethereal mood. The flooring is composed in a geometric pattern of Navona travertine and Verdi Alpi marble tiles. The space is completed with bespoke brass and moulded glass lighting paired with custom walnut wooden seating that emphasise the warm convivial atmosphere.
Beefbar Doha redefines the dining experience in Qatar with its unmatched design, culinary excellence, and unparalleled views.
