Highlighting the best of Danish design – and the coolest spots in Copenhagen – 3 Days of Design 2023 drew to a close in the Danish capital last week.

Visitors to the city got to chance to see the latest designs and concepts from both local and international brands first-hand at various launches and events held across the city.
Now in its 10th year, here’s a round-up of the hottest happenings at this year’s design festival.
Conversations in Sound by Bang & Olufsen
Bang & Olufsen
The company presented an immersive exhibition that explored the relationship between people, sound and space at Galleri Christoffer Egelund to unveil its new Beosound A5 by GamFratesi sound system.
Tableau opened its Copenhagen studio to visitors to unveil Light Flower – its first historical reissue based on the iconic 1980s lighting design by Danish artist Poul Gernes.

Sketches by Kvadrat
Kvadrat
Kvadrat presented a new collection of tactile, craft-inspired curtains at their showroom in the city. Titled Sketches, the collection was designed by Inga Sempé and Creative Director Isa Glink.
The collab between Gubi and Noah, combined elements of home decor and fashion, and saw the unveiling of a special-edition series of Gubi’s MR01 Outdoor Lounge Chair by Mathias Steen Rasmussen in a fresh new palette.

Penumbra by David Thulstrup for Georg Jensen
Designer Georg Jensen also unveiled a new silver design for David Thulstrup. Inspired by the brand’s history, Penumbra functions as a sculptural centrepiece.
Marie’s Yellow by Vipp
A new edition of Vipp, a now-iconic wastebin design by Holger Nielsen, was also unveiled during the festival. The new edition is characterised by a pale-yellow hue, Nielsen’s wife’s – for whom he originally designed the bin – favourite colour.
