Annie Sloan: The Creme de la Chalk Paint® Creme!
If you’re an aspiring furniture painter, you’ll love the endless possibilities available with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Here we bring you the Creme de la Chalk Paint® Creme with three of the hottest items painted in 2019…
In third place was this almost lasciviously textured pink ombre number from the brush of Reloved by Maja Komasa, who’s based in Poland. Chalk Paint® in Scandinavian Pink, Paris Grey and Pure were the main players in this dramatic ode to rustic beauty – thick layers and plenty of blending set the stage. The very satisfying drippy, crusty, rustic patina, and the heavenly rough, raw, styling created a fabulous contrast. Delicate femininity served rough-and-ready – what’s not to love!
Your second most liked piece in 2019 (shared way back in January. Almost a year ago to the day) was this gorgeous blue-grey wardrobe from Swedish Chalk Paint® pro Mariedals lanthandel. This subtle, smoky, neutral is a 50:50 mix of French Linen and Greek Blue and you 100% loved it! Svenska Blue is a great option, in particular for anyone looking to channel this cool, calm Scandi scene without the mixing.
Ta dah! This was your number-one-with-a-bullet most-liked most-commented most-shared upcycled objet d’ Chalk Paint® art of the last 365 days. This walnut wardrobe by Patience and Gough is a masterclass; the walnut wood was beautiful but austere; the compromise of painting the bottom emphasises the beauty of that wood, adds interests, and disguises scuff marks around the base of an antique piece.
The ombre itself has been painted in Chalk Paint® in Oxford Navy, Aubusson Blue, Provence and Chicago Grey. In Patience and Gough’s words, “we’re so happy with the massive response we have had to this piece, really makes our hard work feel worth it and gives us the motivation to keep creating new and exciting things in 2020! What a wonderful way to end the year. Thank you”
