Annie Sloan: Here’s a stylish way to introduce a lush blue & green colour scheme into your house.

For these two easy projects we chose Giverny Blue and Antibes Green from the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint pallette.

Giverny is named after the village in Northern France where Claude Monet lived and this brilliant blue was especially popular in early 20th Century interiors.

This bright, cool blue and goes  well with warm colours like Barcelona Orange and Scandinavian Pink as well as any of the green shades from the Annie Sloan Range.

Although both green and blue are calming colours, this combination of the table and lamp adds a bit of drama to the neutral palette created with the natural sandstone floor tiles and the gentle, buff colour of the wall.

The shape of this table is quite fussy and intricate  with the carved legs and the demi-lune shape – you can easily find a simple half-moon ball & claw version in your local junk shop as this style was very popular in South Africa during the 1960’s and is once again in vogue.

Antibes Green is a striking , dazzling green which can be used pure as we have here or lightened with white. Look how it introduces a cheerful and fun accent!  If you like you can achieve a slightly more rustic look by using the Dark Chalk Paint® Wax which adds some extra dimension.
