Victoria + Albert: Cornering The Market Lussari

British bathroom company, Victoria + Albert Baths, a globally recognised brand known for its award- winning baths made from QUARRYCASTTM, is proud to announce its first new bath and sink collection since the Taizu in 2019.

The Lussari collection marks a number of ‘firsts’ for Victoria + Albert: the first time the brand has launched a suite of baths with the same shape; its first corner bath; and its first simultaneous UK and European launch – Lussari will be unveiled during Design Week at the London Design Centre in March.

Victoria + Albert’s Lussari collection is comprised of three baths, sharing the same interior shape. A corner bath, a back-to-wall bath and a freestanding bath. Multiple size options are available, and there is a matching Lussari 55 basin to complete the range.

The name Lussari comes from a peak in the Italian Alps, above the town of Tarvisio in Italy’s mostnorth-eastern region. It has been a place of sanctuary for over 650 years. At the top there is a chapel and convent, sometimes called ‘the church of the three peoples’, for the three immediate neighbours – the Italians, the Germans and the Slovenians.

The most striking format is undoubtedly the Lussari corner bath. It has the same svelte external profile as the freestanding bath while snugly fitting into a corner to maximise bathroom space. A perfectly flat ledge offers space for a bottle of Molton Brown or Moët & Chandon. Available in both left hand and right hand models.

The Lussari back-to-wall combines a stylish profile with a modern, space-saving design. Installed against the wall for a watertight seal with a spacious deck for mounting brassware and bathroomluxuries. A more sculpted shape than Victoria + Albert’s other back-to-wall bath, the Eldon, and with a compact option at only 1600mm long (the standard bath is 1800mm).

The Lussari freestanding bath is another statement Victoria + Albert bath, with a sleek, double-ended design and smooth, organic curves. In 1800 form it suits larger bathrooms and suites, but is also available in more compact 1600 and 1500mm versions.

All three can be matched with the Lussari 55 basin which shares the same elegant shape. Designed for countertop mounting, it has a discreet integrated overflow.

Like all Victoria + Albert products, the entire collection is made from Volcanic LimestoneTM and share its characteristic properties of strength, stain and scratch resistance, and a natural warmth that means less of the heat of the water is used to raise the temperature of the material (and the bath stays hot for longer). The baths and basin can be specified in a Gloss or Matt finish, and with a choice of over 200 RAL exterior colours.

The new Lussari collection can be customised in over 200 existing RAL colours, which can be applied across any of Victoria + Albert Baths’ baths and basins, in a gloss or matt finish. This colour offering is continually growing due to strong demand for bespoke colour finishes. These exciting new tones help consumers to create a bathroom that reflects their individual sense of style.

Each finish is multi-layered using a special catalysed paint, and hand-polished between applications for a deep lustre. More durable than hand-painted surfaces, more striking in impression, Victoria + Albert® colours elevate baths and basins to greater luxury.
