Duravit: Think Big: Big Little Bathroom
Small floor plans do not mean you need to compromise on design freedom. With a creative layout and high-quality designer products, guest bathrooms and cloakrooms can be transformed into oases of luxury. Where floor space is at a premium, the focus is on products in compact dimensions and their arrangement within the room.
Here Duravit offers big-time design in compact dimensions…
For example, the handrinse basin from the new Viu range by Sieger design coupled with the matching XViu vanity unit allows for an efficient use of the space available. With small areas of shelf space on the basin, practical storage options beneath it and compact dimensions (430 mm wide x 310 mm deep), it is a perfect fit for narrow spaces – optionally floor-standing or wall-mounted. The 410 mm wide, wall-mounted model with a projection of just 290 mm saves even more valuable space. The forward-looking design of the range unites soft, organic forms with precise geometry. Sharp contrasts arise from surfaces that combine the finest ceramics, glass and metal with matt lacquers or high-quality woods. A total of 34 surface colors enable countless individual design options.
The new Cape Cod console in high-gloss white with chrome feet and an above-counter basin meets the very highest aesthetic standards and is an excellent fit for smaller bathrooms thanks to its 700 mm width and 480 mm depth. With his Cape Cod bathroom range, designer Philippe Starck has created an elegant design with authentic materials. The particularly thin walled, delicately crafted DuraCeram wash bowls are available not only in Glossy White, but also in the new White Satin Matt. The practical vanity unit with its generously-proportioned two-level storage areas helps to keep things tidy while giving the ensemble a light and airy look.
For guests staying overnight, a fully fitted-out guest bathroom with a shower is a worthwhile addition whenever space permits. The minimalist design of the Tempano shower trays, available in 27 dimensions, fits perfectly into rooms of any size. Installation flush with the floor creates an impression of spaciousness within the room.
When furnishing smaller bathrooms, a general rule applies: Detailed planning and limiting the materials and colours used to just a few, creates a calming, harmonious effect that is even more appealing.
