DIY: Knit Your Own Chunky winter throw
Imagine snuggling up with a chunky oversized throw and wishing away the winter blues. Well, now you can. These beautiful chunky throws are currently all the rage, and if you can knit, then you should try your hand at creating your own unique snuggle blanket this winter. Not only is it quick and easy, but you will use your arms instead of needles for a fast knit with minimal utensils.
At Simply Maggie, they show you just how to get the look by arm knitting your own chunky throw in less than 45 minutes. Here you will find the full tutorial with instructional video to help you on your DIY journey. What will you need? Maggie used 11 Skeins of Premier Yarns Couture Jazz in the colour Beige. You should opt for quality wool / yarn – the thicker, the better, in a colour to complement your interior design. No need for needles – just use your arms and you’ll be done in no time.
Keep it simple and following the pattern here: Cast on 18 stitches using the long tail cast on method. Knit 31 rows. Bind off. Weave in the ends. Sound simple? Well that is the beauty of this DIY – you can complete your own chunky throw in less than an hour! Take a look at the video tutorial for detailed instructions:
