We’re wrapping up yet another week, and the design industry is still buzzing and brimming with not-to-miss events in South Africa and across the globe.

Food Indaba
In various locations around Cape Town and online.
22 July to 4 August

Good or bad, delicious or bitter, the kitchen table is where food, economics and politics often meet – and for the past ten years, Food Dialogues has been exploring this in our complex food system in unconventional, educational and fun ways. This year, with a new name reflective of its roots and group dynamic, Food Indaba 2024 is taking place from Monday 22 July to Sunday 04 August with various events at venues across Cape Town, including the V&A Waterfront precinct, Mowbray, Langa, Philippi, Lynedoch and Stellenbosch.

House and Garden Show 2024
Durban
29 June–07 July

While other cities are welcoming the winter chills in South Africa, Durban proves that it is one city with the best weather all year around in the country.

From the 29th of June until July 7, the Durban Exhibition Centre will be filled with hundreds of families and exhibitors, forming part of this year’s House + Garden Show 2024.

The show is a celebration of colours and trends, along with all the tools you’ll need to work wonders at home. Explore and unpack intriguing new techniques and treats in decoration, appliances, DIY, cooking, and gardening.

The London Festival of Architecture.
1-30 June
The London Festival of Architecture is currently underway until the 30th of June in London. This is a month-long celebration of everything design and architecture in the city of London. The aim of the event is and has always been to spark architectural discussions, test new ideas, and discover and promote fresh talent.

This year’s comprehensive programme of activities, themed ‘Reimagine’, seeks to encourage a rethinking of all things architectural, challenging the conventional while paying homage to outstanding ideas and practitioners. Manchester Furniture Show in July
