Hommes Studio Mistinguett restaurant
Filled with timeless beauty and lavish details, restaurant Mistinguett in Paris is seducing diners with its glamorous 1920s interiors.
Designed by Atelier Ha, the new luxury bistro, led by chef Etienne Daviau, is located in the legendary Parisian music hall, Casino de Paris.
To complement its food offering and location, the designers drew heavily on the glamour and opulence of the Art Deco era.
(The name, too, is inspired by the location: Mistinguett is the stage name used by performer Jeanne Florentine Bourgeois.)
“Through the lavish textiles, sober colours and rich materials, the architects created an interior that mimics the 1920s glamour and revives an essential Parisian location,” notes design studio Hommés Studio.
For the interiors, Atelier Ha chose a deep coral hue, which features prominently on the walls and in many soft furnishings and window coverings and complemented this with rich gold accents, opting for gold-painted doorways and lighting fixtures, for instance.
Bespoke banquettes, chairs and tables were ordered for the restaurant. These custom items are paired with exquisite hand-crafted items and carefully selected antiques, including a Murano glass suspension lamp.
Other design statements include a red-and-black leopard print rug, heavy red velvet curtains, vaulted ceilings painted a trompe l’oeil clouded sky and a massive stained and leaded-glass window overlooking the city of lights.
Dinner, anyone?
