Wolkberg Casting Studios
A proudly South African multidisciplinary design and manufacturing company, Wolkberg Casting Studios focuses on industrial design and innovation.
One such innovation is Limesite – a unique and innovative material developed by the company.
This high-performance concrete is used to manufacture an array of products, including spectacular tiles, surfaces, furniture and lighting designs, as well as architectural and art pre-casts.
While all of these beautiful products are manufactured at the company’s Ruimsig factory, Wolkberg Casting Studios has also recently opened a showroom in Parkhurst, Johannesburg, where clients can see, feel and interact with the exclusive Limesite products.
“The space serves several functions; it is not your typical showroom but rather a place where products can be seen and tested, as well as a location where we will have several events to elevate and promote South African design. For architects, we’ll hold CDP events and for interior designers, we’ll have exciting product debuts,” explains Wolkberg Casting Studios of their plans for the new space.
“Most significantly, it will be the location of our podcast, ‘In the Thick of Design’ where we will talk about design, industrial design, interior design and architecture,” the first of which will air in August this year says the company.
“Our first podcast series will feature casual discussions with chefs and designers working in the South African hospitality sector.”
In the meantime, everyone from architects and interior designers to homeowners, is welcome to pop by the showroom to enjoy a cup of coffee and chat with the team about Limesite’s endless design possibilities.
