Prada Caffè in Harrods
Those looking for a fashionable spot for a bite to eat in London, need not look any further.
Prada has just unveiled its brand-new mint-green pop-up cafe at Harrods in the city.
Modelled on a hyper-stylised 1950s soda shop, everything in the cafe bears the brand’s signature, from the staff uniforms to the sugar packets.
The sophisticated, statement interiors also drew design inspiration from the brand’s first boutique in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II arcade and some of the brand’s international flagship stores.
Reminiscent of a candy box, the cafe boasts floral bass reliefs on the walls, statement lighting dangling from the ceilings, velvet-upholstered seating and a classic black-and-white chequered floor. Even the crystal glasses – perfect for negronis – feature the brand’s iconic triangle motif.
While specially-chosen pale-blue porcelain and Prada silverware dress sleek black tables and dainty glass cabinets display rows of pretty Italian pastries and Prada-brand chocolates and candies.
But according to Harrod’s, “there’s more on the menu than impeccable style”.
“For breakfast, Italian coffee accompanies perfect poached eggs and puff pastries, while the lunch menu boasts starters and mains ranging from burrata and zucchini to spinach and ricotta cannelloni with black truffle,” the store explains.
And come summer, there will even be an ice-cream cart serving Italian gelato.
Prada Caffè will be running until 7 January 2024.
