Zimbo’s

Synonymous with hardwood flooring solutions, Zimbo’s is a tried and trusted name in the industry.

The company has a wide range of flooring products on offer, including African hardwood and engineered wood flooring, parquetry and decking in a great many colours and finishes. But with so many options on offer, how do you choose the best flooring for your home and lifestyle?

To help you make a decision, we’ve asked the team at Zimbo’s for some guidance. Here’s what they recommend:

African Hardwoods Zambezi Range

“The Zambezi Range comprises solid Zimbabwean teak flooring known for its strength, durability and striking character.”

Best for: Social and living areas. The Zambezi Range is not only extremely hardwearing but the wood is also treated with Lobasol natural oil or Lobadur water-based varnishes for extra durability and to make it more water-resistant and scratch-resistant. These natural oils can also easily be repaired if need be.

Try the All Brown Herringbone Blocks for an on-trend yet timeless look.

Wide Board Engineered Cinzento Range

The Cinzento Range of engineered wood flooring consists of a 4mm top layer of real oak and comes in 220mm wide planks.

“This custom-made vintage range is handcrafted, deep brushes and black filled for a magnificent looking floor. They can be either smoked for a rich chocolate underlying tone or left in their natural state and then enhanced with Loba colour oils or water-based varnishes.”

Best for: Like hardwoods, engineered wood flooring is extremely durable and ideal for any area in the home, as well as commercial spaces such as restaurants. It is more cost-effective than real hardwood, making it a popular choice with customers.

Planca Solid Extreme Range

Available in 7 colours and pre-oiled, the Planca range of engineered wooden flooring is an effective option for many homeowners.

There are two plank widths to choose from, 250mm and 300mm. Best for: The pre-treated wooden floorboards can be installed in most areas of the home, including the kitchen and other high-traffic areas.

Try the wide planks in Wood Authentic for a natural look or Burned Black for a contemporary industrial-style interior.
