Pop Up Powerdock Buying Guide
So before pressing the shop now button, Power Logic has put together a buyer’s guide along with a comparison chart to help you make the correct choice.
WHICH POWERDOCK SHOULD I BUY?
First you need to consider which power outlets suit your requirements.
Do you have a variety of kitchen appliances; you may need several power outlets. Is it for an office workspace, in which case you will need features like multiple USB and/or Data ports? Power Logic offers standard units as well as customized powerdocks.
Power Logic also offers a variety of additional features and configurations; it is important to understand what they mean.
USB – for charging cellphones and tablets.
LED – To indicate unit’s on / off.
DATA – Ethernet sockets to allow connection to networks.
HOW MUCH SPACE WILL YOU NEED ?
An important factor to consider is the space the pop-up powerdock requires under the worktop. Not only does one need to consider the height of the unit itself, but one also needs to allow some extra space below. The more plugs the unit has, the bigger it will be.
Installing a pop-up powerdock requires more advanced planning and attention to detail. A pop-up powerdock is typically installed towards the back of your countertop, which will impact the drawers or cupboard below.
PULL UP OR POP UP?
A Pull-Up socket performs just as it sounds; it is raised and lowered by pulling the socket up and pushing it down manually, this is place with most entry level units.
Pop Up sockets can be raised by pressing a central button which activates the unit to “Pop Up”.
WORKTOP HOLE SIZE?
80mm – MK1.1 Powerdock
95mm – MK2 Powerdock
95mm – MK3 Powerdock
95mm – KPP Powerdock
