Alternative Paving Patterns
If you read our last blog on Popular Paving Patterns, we thought we’d follow up with a feature on paving patterns that are more alternative and unique. It is always wise to take into consideration the type of area you are paving before you decide on a pattern, as different bond patterns are better suited for different types of traffic (pedestrian or vehicular, areas of high or low traffic volume).
The popular bond patterns are Herringbone, Stretcher and Random. For more advice on how to lay these particular paving patterns and many others, visit the “Laying Your Own Paving” brochure on Corobrik’s website and download the step-by-step guide for free.
If you’d like to attempt a paving pattern that is a little more daring and different, here are some other options to try.

This unique and interesting paving pattern has been created using Corobrik Ironstone and Namaquastone clay pavers – which are of the same size and shape. These durable pavers have rich, earthy colours with natural terracotta hues enhanced with fired flashes of colour, to perfectly complement each other. This helps create an eye-catching design that really uplifts any area and makes a bold statement.’
