Clear wall of all grease & dirt.
Chip existing paint with chipping hammer.
Remove any flaky bits with a steel brush.
If surface is flaky, soft or has rising damp, use base coat.
Mix base as instructions, apply coat & allow to dry.
Using a dumpy level, find a mean level on wall.
A good starting point would be the top of doors & windows.
Using chalkline, set horizontal guidelines for placement of tiles.
Allow for 10-12mm spacing between tiles.
Mix tiles adhesive strictly to instructions.
Not too much water or tiles will slide.
Apply with serrated trowel to tile.
