Solent: Keep Cool With Easy Placement of Your Wall Fans
Summer means high temperatures and humidity, which can be super uncomfortable when you’re indoors. Wall fans are a great way to regulate temperatures in your interior and provide a cool, comfy space to live and work. Here we share some great placement ideas for your wall fans, with some of our top picks from Solent.
Go from room to room
Before investing in a fan, be sure to check out where exactly you want to place it. Where will you be spending the most time? Is it in a home office, the living room or even the bedroom or kitchen? All of these rooms could benefit from the addition of a wall fan to help regulate temperatures through the warmer months.
Go for Elevation
You will want to place your fan higher up on a wall to maximise flow. Elevation can definitely assist here. For the ideal height, place it around 30cm to 90cm below the ceiling, depending on the height of your ceilings.
Is One Fan Enough?
Some fans are super powerful and efficient, but modern homes tend to be more open plan, meaning that a fan needs to cover a larger area of the home. This is when you may want to consider adding more than one fan into a space. Remember to also place the wall fans on opposite sides of the room so that they can cover more ground.
Avoid Obstructions
Wall fans work best in open spaces without obstructions that may block the flow of air in the room. As such, we suggest installing your fan on an open wall or in an open area where there is no furniture, art, or homeware that will block it’s ability to function effectively.
Summer is coming. With only a few more weeks to go before the heat begins to settle in, be sure to consider your options and create a comfortable interior. Check out the full range of fans from Solent to make the right choice for your home.
