The artist achieved the movement of water with the use of bleeding pigment. This was achieved by the use of contrasting colours and adding more water to strong defined pigments of blue. A strong constant light source is found at the top half of the artwork and bleeding hues of blue can be found around the bottom half and sides. By doing this the artist create a feeling of depth, a feeling of being at the bottom of the ocean.
