Slamp’s La Traviata Takes Us On A Journey of Illumination

The Slamp La Traviata Suspension Light is a beautiful colour changing light that has been on a journey, from New York and Milan, to Rome, Perm, and Berlin. It is the successful synthesis of two contrasting realities; theatre, filled with emotions and empathy, and the technological-pragmatic challenges of manufacturing.

There was a constant dialogue between the visionary theatre producer, Robert Wilson, and the fresh energies of Slamp’s innovative R&D department.

Described as architecture, light, poetry, dance and movement all rolled into one piece of art, La Traviata is a beautiful collaborative piece. This innovative luminaire is a light sculpture created to evoke a sense of calm in the observer while allowing them to contemplate.

La Traviata is made up of a main structure in semi satin Opaline PMMA and has individual elements constructed by patented two-dimensional technopolymer sheets of lentiflex. This LED luminaire is available in two sizes.

About Slamp:

Slamp devotes itself to decorative design lamps, capturing the most current trends, drawing on the natural world, on architectonic, sartorial virtuosity and on artistic developments, transforming them into luminous objects, which are both suggestive and versatile. This is thanks to the use of a new generation of materials and special manual assembly of parts that, once put together, give life to a luxurious, figurative panorama.
