Think soft curves, playful silhouettes, and sparkly details. Luminaires that add a touch of romance to the room are big in 2019. But don’t think that this trend only has a place in bedrooms. These lights are ideal for the living room too, where they create a relaxed feel. Check out the latest lighting inspirations from Euro Nouveau.
Clizia from Slamp
The Clizia collection from Slamp epitomises the playful romanticism trend in more ways than one. With its soft curves and playful silhouette this luminaire echoes the forms found in nature. From a cloud capturing the first changing rays of morning sun to a treetop filtering light through its abundant foliage, Clizia translates natural form in a contemporary way. An amalgamation of form and function, all versions of Clizia feature a magnetic anchoring system, anchoring the pendent and applique to the ceiling and the table and floor lamp to the metal base.
Sun from Karboxx
Designed by Brian Rasmussen for Karboxx, Sun is an exploration of the theme of light as it teases the contrast of brightness and shadow. Spherical in shape and with slits on its shade, the light emitted from the lamp dances and glimmers, much like luminous explosions from the sun itself. Sun’s architectural shade is available in white synthetic resin or in white, red, or black fabric. Bask in the light of the Sun collection, available as a table or pendant lamp.
Floral from Panzeri
Like a flower about to burst into bloom, Floral from Panzeri brings life to a room. This aptly named luminaire designed by Hiroki Takada comprises an arrangement of bent alluminium bands in the shape of a ball. With a diffuser made of borosilicate glass, Floral’s lampshade diffuses light softly in all directions without causing a glare. Floral is available as a table lamp and pendant.
Origo from Manooi
The Origo pendant lamp from Manooi made its debut at the Euroluce fair in Milan in 2017 and introduces completely new crystal assembling technology. This contemporary crystal light comprises a polished copper lamp shade complete with crystals and LED light source. A playful marriage of symmetry and harmony, Origo will embellish a luxury interior with its infinite arrangements, and looks spectacular when hung above a staircase, in the living room, or over a kitchen island.
