Editor Marcia Margolius recently visited Caesarstone at Milan Design Week 2015. An eye-grabbing installation, known as “Movement,” was created by Canadian designer Philippe Malouin; the two-part exhibition was born from material and process-led discovery. The first part of the display was an eight-piece swing set inside the grand hall of the Palazzo Serbelloni. The swing seats were made from the 2015 new surface designs from Caesarstone and hung from a frame, transforming the opulent hall into a playground. The second part, located in the adjacent rooms, was a series of displays of handmade planters Malouin created during his experimentation with the material.Contact: www.caesarstone.co.za in South Africa
