Better known as the Milan Design Week, the 2019 Salone del Mobile took place from 7th – 12th April. This event is the world leader in bringing attendees and visitors the latest in furniture and home product designs.
Each year offers something new. From up-to-the-minute trends in home technology, to exciting new advancements in recyclable materials, this year once again did not disappoint, with impressive installations in obscure courtyards, palazzos and even former Churches!
The WOW factor was once again certainly hard at work this year!
For the fourth consecutive year and in the heart of the Brera Design District, Arpa Industriale presented at the transformaterials event at Fuorisalone, curated by DWA Design Studio, at Falegnameria Cavalleroni.
During the Milan Design Week, attendees and visitors were encouraged through a narrative path, to participate in the transformation of FENIX AND HPL MATERIALS, enabling the opportunity of interaction with the surfaces, shapes and finishes of the materials.
Choosing to be in an Artisan Studio has a very specific and precise meaning – it is a “representation of a place of ‘transformation’, where raw material is expertly transformed into design pieces”.
Arpa Industriale has always upheld their ideology of Innovation, Sustainability and Durability and never of course, forgetting the ever-important reference to “Made in Italy”.
These values were once again proudly upheld during the 2019 Milan Design Week!
Other exhibitions worth mentioning, where Arpa’s Fenix NTM/NTA and HPL were featured.
To enrich the experience and explore the various applications of FENIX and Arpa, an organised tour which departed from the Arpa’s exhibition/ activation site, to visit a selection of showrooms and exhibition spaces at the Fuorisalone expo, took place.
Les Arcanistes by Studiopepe
The dynamic female duo offers visitors a slice of mystery in a conceptual world of alchemy. Set inside a previously unseen space that was once a gold manufacturer in the 1900s, the showcase investigates the ‘strong inter-connection between matter and the archetypal power of symbols’, including bespoke products, re-editions and an imaginative use of material. FENIX is a technical partner of the installation: Studiopepe designed background partitions and pieces of furniture made of FENIX NTM and FENIX NTA.
