Visit and see! – SSS Siedle & the Antivilla project

AV_SSS_Pure-Networks_2 Architect, Arno Brandlhuber has a reputation for out-of-the-ordinary designs and buildings. So it comes as no surprise that the door communication installed in his Antivilla is somewhat beyond the conventional. Siedle designed and constructed the unique custom system, in line with his design idea’s. SSS_Pure-Networks_AV-1 Using the Siedle Steel design line, with its familiar square hole pattern and based on the architect’s specifications, a custom faceplate was created of cast aluminium. The shape was drawn directly from the façade, by artist and bell casting craftsman, Timo Klöppel. The casting work was then undertaken by a specialist company in the Black Forest. Using the blank casting, Siedle produced a door station which literally became one with the facade. SSS_Av_pure-networks-5 SSS_Av_Pure-Networks-3 The large distances between the buildings on the site also posed a challenge. To guarantee contact across the whole site, the specialist planners from Siedle supplemented the four video panels with the addition of the mobile Siedle Scope intercom, which also provides the connection to the Siedle iPhone App. Thanks to Scope, the door communication for the Antivilla reaches right down to shore of the lake, where the residents can see who is at the door on their iPhone or iPad.
