Plascon House Tour: The Heart Of Morocco
Ancestral building techniques are the backbone of this charmingly rustic home in the heart of the souk in Taroudant, Morocco.
Build entirely by local craftsmen and architects, this space is perfect for the warm climate of Morocco. With white walls inside to cool the space down, the high ceilings are built in such a way that the heat is well ventilated through slants and facades as well as rammed earth.
Using all natural materials and furnished with local decor, this home is a tribute to Moroccan heritage and influence with colourful weaved rugs and scatter cushions, eclectic bowls in the kitchen and brick tiles as a feature wall. We love the intricate, ‘woven’ roof of the outdoor patio area.
