The fascinating Morning Glory table was developed by a Brooklyn designer by the name of Marc Thrope for Italian furniture brand, Moroso. Inspired by the garden, this outside table is complete with a trio of petal-shaped surfaces and looks almost otherworldly when displayed in a group. In fact, the table is intended to be exhibited in a cluster – one can just imagine an array of these tables outside a quaint café. Created from powder coated steel, it is able to withstand the elements. Its colour are all taken from nature – burnt red/orange, ocher, beige and green. The base is stem-like, and welded to resemble the vines of the morning glory flower. The tops are three laser reduced “leaves” at distinct heights. Whether used inside to liven up dull space or positioned outside on the patio, this astonishingly stylish piece of furniture is suitable for all seasons.Moroso is available in South Africa from www.afritaly.com.
