We have a summer treat for you. Have you ever tastes something so fruity and refreshingly light? Well you will if you follow these steps from Illovo. You can now make your own summer cocktails with Illovo Traditional Syrup and your favourite fruit. YUMMY! Take it to the pool for a weekend chill.
1/2kg fresh strawberries, hulled (2 punnets)
75ml Illovo Traditional Syrup, warmed
5ml lemon juice
200ml unsweetened apple or orange juice
- Process the strawberries in a food processor. Pour on the syrup and mix well.
- Add lemon and apple juices, and pour mixture into a suitable freezer container. Freeze overnight.
- Thaw frozen mixture slightly – chop into chunks and process briefly in a food processor until ‘slushy’.
- Serve immediately in party glasses with decorative thick straws or scoops.
