St Leger & Viney: Kate Moss Splashes Out with de Gournay Prints

Style icon and renowned supermodel Kate Moss has done it again by setting the trend in home renovations with her latest collaboration with wallpaper house, de Gournay, featured boldly in her London home.

She told Architectural Digest Magazine that the aim was to capture the mood of “a solarized Man Ray picture,” as Kate describes it. As a result, she teamed up with elite wallpaper specialists, de Gournay, to create a silver-tinted anemone pattern used in her London home. The flower apparently symbolizes ‘luck’ according to Greek mythology.

The design depicts softly painted cascading Anemone flowers juxtaposed with graphic shafts of light creating a unique composition characteristic of Kate’s eclectic taste. Kate created two colourways for this design, inspired by the palettes of Daybreak and Dusk. Both will form part of de Gournay’s permanent collections. Available locally in South Africa through St Leger & Viney, the Anemones in Light design is available in the different colourways. A wide range of additional colourways and constructions are available as standard. Custom colourways are also available. In Kate Moss’s home, the bespoke design on custom Xuan paper in Dusk, provides the perfect backdrop for the elegantly positioned master bath, which takes centre stage in the bathroom.

Centred in the space is a claw-foot tub, set beneath a vintage crystal chandelier and opposite a carved stone hearth. The bathroom is luxurious and inviting – the perfect retreat for the supermodel to unwind and pamper herself. The shades of white, grey and black make a bold yet modern statement within this creative bathroom environment. Embroidered silver drapes finish off the space in true celebrity fashion.
