Jim Thompson Fabrics: The Brand New Shangri-la Collection
The beautiful Palampore panel designs from the new Jim Thompson Fabrics brand is known as the Shangri-la collection which comes in a wallpaper and a fabric. The collection is made up of rich colour, exotic pattern & luxurious texture. Plush velvets, breezy warp prints, bold stripes & geometric motifs abound.
The Palampore textiles are centuries-old ‘tree of life’ designs that were painted or printed onto cotton chintz.
This is Jim Thompson Fabrics contemporary take on this classic pattern, featuring a fantasy garden of palm trees intertwined with exotic foliage and flora.
These gorgeous prints are ideal for use as elaborate bed curtains. Printed on linen at 3.5 meters high, Palampore features an A and B panel set to create a dramatic 274 cm (108”) wide scene, with space at top and bottom for adjusting to nearly any curtain height. The colourations are thoroughly modern, featuring chic neutral hues that contrast against a brilliant array of coloured grounds.
