Halogen: An Exciting New World of Trims and Tapes

Once considered just an embellishment in interior design, trims and tapes are standing their ground as must-have designer elements to elevate the home. From beads and tassels to braids and tie-backs, these accessories have the power to transform a simple design scheme and bring a sophisticated edge to any room.

Halogen International have recognised the trend, and staying on the cutting edge of design, are seeing some beautiful samples making their way to our local market. They are also introducing an option to produce custom-made tapes (a minimum order of 50m) to accommodate clients and bring added style to any interior.

New trimmings from James Hare:

Armilla:

Armilla is the Latin name for bracelet, fitting for a trim that may encircle furniture or be used to edge a curtain. Created from a velvet jaqcuard of interwoven chevrons, the result is a complex, yet beautifully simple design.

Cora

Named after the Cora Sun-Drop diamond discovered in 2010, the largest known yellow pear-shaped diamond in the world. This trim places the gemstone right at the centre of its design replicating a delicate jewellery piece of inlaid stone.

Duralee trimmings:

Duralee Trim

Duralee trimmings are designed to coordinate with their fabric collections and tailor any room setting. With a wide range of colours and designs, the Duralee trim collections were created as a versatile resource for those looking to punctuate their design scheme with a finishing detail.
