Get ready for your next fix of the city Night Market The up-and-coming local fashion designers will be showcasing as part of a special Night Market in Cape Town hosted by Cape Craft and Design Institute (CCDI) and the Cape Town Fashion Council (CTFC) on 5 November. The Night Market, themed Fashion Fierce, celebrates some of the very best in local fashion and accessory design. Both the CCDI and CTFC, as development agencies in the Western Cape, play a key role in the local creative sector through developing and supporting many designers and small businesses. Over 20 small businesses will feature on the evening, offering an array of products – these include Sho Stylish Fashions (women’s clothing), Falling Man (men’s clothing), Maev Rose Jewellery Design and Eon Hoon (jewellery), 37 Sandals (shoes), Sexy socks (accessories), and Beach Cult (swimwear). Visitors to the Night Market can discover the hottest emerging creative talent, meet with designers and artists, and enjoy delicious food – all to the cool tunes of a live DJ. The CCDI Night Market has become a popular part of the monthly First Thursday diary. The market aims to ignite the creative culture and community in the eastern part of the city and activate the area as a destination for exceptional design events. The Night Market opens at 5pm each First Thursday, and runs until 10pm . It is located on the corner of Harrington and Barrack streets.
