Plascon: A Victorian house dressed in white

Ooh la la – there is nothing quite as fancy as an old Victorian-styled home beautifully dressed up to suit more modern times. The beautiful mid-century Victorian architecture of this abode includes gorgeous arched ceilings and solid wood flooring that offers timeless appeal.

With a simple coat of white paint, new life was breathed into this home, with an array of furniture that emits a sense of vintage elegance. White always brings with it a freshness – emphasising light and space in any interior. The same is true in this home where white extends to the beautifully arched ceilings and soft furnishings including sofa and drapes.

There is a sort of lived-in feel in this home – with a collection of personalised frames, prints and artworks in key areas around the residence. Simplistic, modern light fittings are suspended above the seating in this cosy little area near the window. The emphasis here is on comfort, and each chair boasts a mix of colourful throws and scatters.
A vintage display cabinet is styled with all the functional items needed in the kitchen – glassware and ceramics as well as serving boards. A multifunctional yet stylish little nook finished off with storage drawers and a vintage wooden chair.
The bedroom too has a retro-glam feel with antique hanging mirror and special luxury attire on display. A neutral palette is again used here to emphasise a sense of calm, comfort and elegant living. The room is a hidden retreat for vintage gems, from a traditional chair and vintage dresser to a wooden trunk at the foot-end of the bed. The deep woody tones of the floor seem to pop against the all-white interior walls, creating a stunning minimalist yet retro vibe that we simply love.
