Plascon House Tour: A Showcase of Reclaimed Design

This urban Swedish apartment boasts an eclectic mix of reclaimed pieces and vintage finds. Each carries its own charm, but together, the space comes alive in beautiful recycled pieces with a modern twist.

The layout of this apartment is open plan yet boasting a modern loft living room that has been raised and separated from the rest of the space by a metal and wooden balustrade. Windows showcase beautiful urban views of the city, with the neighbouring buildings just outside the walls. However, there is ample natural light that floods the space, with a stunning patio area which leads outdoors where one can soak up the urban views. A mix of furniture and vintage finds adds to the rustic charm of this home. From an antique wooden sideboard to the innovative display wall with wooden rods that create a simple yet striking gallery wall of modern prints. The open plan architecture creates symmetry and flow between the different areas, from the kitchen and dining space and into the living area. Beautiful wooden floors tie it all together and add to the harmony and flow of this apartment. Rustic chic design shines through in the bedroom where reclaimed wooden palettes have been converted into a bed with added side storage. An old crate is cleverly transformed into a nifty light pendant, suspended above the bed. Here an array of bulbs are hung at different heights for added visual appeal. The neutral colours and all white walls complete this minimalist style. Natural linens, potted greens and hints of beige and white create a soft, earthy feel that is modern and clean.
