New Traditional

Step inside a New York family haven belonging to Interior Stylish Emily Rickard and her family. The beautiful abode, located in the leafy district of Park Slope, was originally built in 1910 and split into two duplexes shortly after. Emily was struck by the beautiful old door and stoop of the home upon first sight. Airy and light, the historical building was renovated to preserve some of its original features such as the old wooden floor boards, pretty fireplaces and shatters. Emily’s home is filled with a collection of her favourite Australian-imported furnishings, as well as urban additions that boast a more modern feel. Adorned in bright colours and beachy hues, the New York pad is balanced by elegant tones of muted gold, grey and black. This unique streamlined interior boasts a sense of luxury that is simply to die for.
