It’s hidden behind a busy street in East London, that Maxine and Maxwell live in a loft welcoming thanks to the warm presence of the brick. The architect and freelance graphic artist like things clean but not minimalist. All the volumes are open except for the bedroom, which was deliberately closed by a partition wall. Using functional spaces as part of the artistry, the young couple have inserted a massive book shelf to hold all their prized possessions of knowledge and an ample surplus of plants. The refined look is uncomplicated and approachable, still giving cues to the details in areas such as the dining chairs, coffee table and lighting.Via Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners
