House Tour: 1920′s bungalow

Before Homepolish designer Stefani Stein redesigned this 1920′s bungalow in Silverlake (Los Angeles), it had low ceilings, a robin’s-egg-blue, bathroom and a really sad kitchen. Stefani: “The concept behind the remodel was to create a fresh take on the existing, very traditional style of the 1920s Silverlake bungalow”. The decor is a mix of mid-century and traditional elements. Natural and earthy tones ground and unify the space, allowing the pops of color to really stand-out. The renovation was extensive: “What is now the kitchen was originally the dining room. What is now the master bath was originally the laundry room. And what is now bedroom #3 was originally the kitchen.” The beautiful black and white prints are ink on paper pieces by LA artist Tim Forcum.
