Crema Design, with the assistance of architect Chris van Niekerk of The Fold Architecture, has managed to turn an old Woodstock warehouse into a world-class showroom. The concept is very similar to that of an art gallery- with no branding or pieces placed on or near the clean white walls, which form a perfect backdrop to the plinths arranged in rows at various levels, while directional spots highlight every piece of furniture.
The brand has also incorporated technology into the works as to enhance the customer’s shopping experience; clients are provided with an iPad which they can scan QR codes, displayed on plaques near each piece. This takes them to the relevant page on Crema’s website where they are able to browse the product’s specs and prices, as well as follow a link to the supplier’s website, in order to make a more informed purchase.
Now that Crema has more space, they will be featuring exciting new additions in their portfolio, including the Danish design brand HAY. The new showroom is open from Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings. It is situtated on Albert Road, a block down from the Biscuit Mill in Woodstock. Come and marvel the extensive array of quality pieces presented in this dazzling new space.
