Say hello to the finest mohair products from Hinterveld; the new collection boasts a gloriously fleecy range of high-quality mohair blankets and throws which reflect the colours of the Rainbow Nation. All this and more will be exhibited in Hall 11.1 at Heimtextil, Frankfurt am Main. Hinterveld’s colour spectrum for the 2014/2015 season caters for all tastes. For design enthusiasts who are fans of understated elegance, there is a selection of more restrained natural colours on offer. In the new line “Maxhosa by Hinterveld” the solid colours synonymous with the 150-year-old family company, Laduma Ngxokolo, of Port Elizabeth merges with Hinterveld’s signature design, through stripes of different widths and checks in a variety of weaves. With roots that reach deep into South Africa, a sense of African spirit is reflected through the earthy colourways. These rustic tones are interwoven with bright yellows, reds and blues with shades of lilac and fuchsia in between, resulting in a blanket is colourful and offers a sense of warmth to boot. Traditionally, the Xhosa and Ndebele peoples wore these blankets as garments, but they also make gifts for suitable occasions. The extraordinary new line will be present in the latest home collection. With a ‘Private Label’ service, Hinterveld offers its customers the opportunity to have products made with their own label, from a certain quantity. There is a choice of 20 designs, each one more attractive than the other. All products are made in South Africa.
