Bruce Mortimer

Artist, Bruce Mortimer has been creating fine art landscapes professionally since 1995 and leads a life of diverse and passionate interests.  Producing art in the mediums of oil on canvas, pastel, pencil, acrylics and mixed media, he is also a keen photographer, having photographed in 20 countries on 5 continents, with his major portfolios covering Southern and Central Africa, and his adopted country of New Zealand. His work is simple and powerful and very popular, having found their way into calenders, magazines, published books, hanging in private and corporate collections throughout the world. He has done commissioned artwork for the Oppenheimer family (Anglo American/De Beers), over 300 images for Vodacom, the Rugby World Cup and more. His 2007 book “Africa by Inspiration”  features exclusively black and white images of Southern Africa and the beauty he is inspired by. With an Honors in the study of Geology, Bruce draws on his intimate knowledge of the landscapes he is so passionate about. Take a look, I adore his dramatic back and white stretches.
