Pet Portraits to Warm your Heart this Winter
With lockdown still looming, many of us have become accustomed to co-habiting and co-working alongside our furry companions. In many ways it’s hard image going back to long days at work without them. But for now, if we have anything to learn from our furry friends, it’s how to survive winter. While some of us embrace the way of the cat by curling up on the best seat in the house, others may prefer to follow the path of the dog by keeping active and, above all, staying positive. Either way you can’t go wrong if you follow their lead when the weather starts to get you down.
For Cosmic Lucky Bag Art Studio the lockdown has certainly brought increased demand for pet portraits with people spending far more time at home with their fur families. The portraits also serve as more than an ode to our pets, they are also commemorative tokens and reminders of pets passed. The loss that comes with saying goodbye a loved pet is profound and the portraits can serve as a comforting reminder that they got to spend the best years of their lives in absolute comfort with people that cherish them.
Juliet creates portraits of people’s pets with love and sensitivity. Each unique portrait is hand-crafted using Japanese calligraphy ink (Sumi) which is lightfast and long lasting. Gold embellishments are created using a high quality ink that catches the light beautifully providing a finish that is eye-catching, stylish but also sentimental. Portraits are R800 each with a R90 courier fee for deliveries within South Africa. Sizes vary, but the standard format is 21cm x 21cm. Contact Juliet for more custom sizes.
