The Rock Collection by Tom Dixon
A long-term love affair with marble bears more fruit with a new series of Green Forest marble artefacts by Tom Dixon. Rock is a collection of interactive, playful and stackable sculptures, which act as architecture for your dining table.
The range displays the natural and uniquely solid materiality that Tom Dixon Studio has long been associated with.
From Tom’s many trips to India and observing the hand lathe workers of Rajasthan and Agra, the design inspiration for Rock was to create simple shapes that could be hand turned on the lathe and constructed like playful children’s building blocks.
The pattern and texture of each piece are entirely unique, depending on the block of marble it was carved from, which creates an individualistic quality in every product.
More about Tom Dixon Studio:

Rock Candle Holders:
A playful set of stackable and reconfigurable candle holders that create domestic sculptural interventions. The pattern and texture of each piece are entirely unique, depending on the block of marble it was carved from, which creates an individualistic quality in every product.
The Rock Serving Boards:
These grooved chopping boards and serving platters are designed to furnish kitchen counters and banqueting tables. Suitable for use with food. High acidity fruits such as lemon and lime should not be left for any length of time on any stone surface as the acid will eat into the surface of the marble and may leave an indentation. Hand‑wash in warm soapy water.
