Plascon House Tour: Some More Nordic Inspiration

Nordic and Scandinavian designs remain a favourite interior trend in 2018. Here a mix of light neutrals with textural elements that include dark wood, leather, fur and more all blend together to create a truly Scandi and inviting space.

Today’s inspiring house tour boasts a mix of traditional and Scandi styles. The period architecture takes us back to the Victorian era with ornate mouldings and high ceilings. However, the finishes are kept simple with a white backdrop and striking leather furniture working as the main feature in the living room.

An oversized paper chandelier is also on trend here – we’re seeing this simple installation being used in many modern interior spaces this season!

Whitewashed flooring adds to the minimalist look and yet, carefully curated pieces add depth to this space, including a vintage gold-framed mirror and old-fashioned drinks trolley.

The kitchen and open plan dining area are also beautifully minimalist in a sea of white accents. The gold light pendant above the table is the showstopper here as the reflective qualities and honey-tone of the shade cannot be overlooked. It stands out against the muted shades used in this room.

An antique fireplace transports us to a different era in the bedroom. Painted white it fits in perfectly to the pared-down and minimalist colour scheme of this abode. Like a vintage tower spanning the height of the room, this fireplace remains a feature in this space.
