Plascon House Tour: French Living with Jacqueline Morabito

Interior designer Jacqueline Morabito’s whitewashed house in Provence, France provides the backdrop for her meticulously considered design.

Jacqueline Morabito likes to blend luxury with simplicity, modernity with history… and this couldn’t be more evident than in her 18th-century house in Provence, France.
Here, classic white takes centre stage, from the furniture to the house’s interior walls. White provides a traditional backdrop to Jacqueline’s distinct style. White on white has been a very popular interior trend over the past few years, and here we see it in full glory, from floors to ceilings as per Jacqueline’s own professional brief.

The architecture of her home adds charm and character, with white wooden ceilings and pops of timber tones that add colour and texture to the space. As is evident in the bedroom, here a rustic yet minimalist approach to design is celebrated with the bed fitting neatly between a pillar and post – maximising the unique space and architecture of her Provence abode. We also love her modern take on a rocking chair in the bedroom, where a contemporary seat is transformed into a modern rocker. The living spaces are beautifully simple and calming in shades of white and natural wood. No overembellished decor or vibrant colours are used – instead, the designer is embracing the minimalist lifestyle with strategically positioned rustic elements, such as a wooden ladder, to add charm to the home. The outside areas around the home are also celebrated; a beautifully restful outdoor seating area is the perfect addition to the indoor-outdoor living and an extension of Jacqueline’s minimalist design style.
