Plascon House Tour: A dream come true

A once tired and worn fisherman’s hut was made new in today’s stylish retreat where white walls, open ceilings, wide windows and an enchanting landscape work together to create a dream retreat.

The glorious use of windows that frame the living room is an exquisite feature within this contemporary abode. The living room comes alive in details – from the hive-like chandeliers that hang from striking knotty-wood ceilings, to the darker shades of grey interior walls, the use of greenery in the space, and the perfect placement of comfy furniture and furnishings to promote relaxation and style in this elegant retreat. Those hanging light pendants are like masterpieces – in perfectly woven detail that is captivating to behold. The rich timber tones of the ceiling pop against the blue-grey walls that lead our eyes down to the stylish yet comfortable dining room, where scatters are a welcome cosy addition to this space. Matte black farm-style barn doors lead to the rest of the home, adding charm and intrigue to this fascinating room. The kitchen is simple yet elegant. Again, a rich wooden ceiling adds a sense of wonder and allure in this area, juxtaposed with white cabinetry that is both classic and timeless. Even the cooker hood is white, with panels to echo the design style of the kitchen cabinets and continue in a harmonious flow throughout the space. In true style, a poster-bed oozes charm and stands out in black against an off-white interior. The room evokes a sense of country charm, with white window dressings and panelled walls that bring texture and cosiness to this room. Storage is king in the bathroom, with tall white cabinets on either side of the bathroom sink. The interesting use of mixed materials add appeal here, with marble tops, stainless steel vanity and then again, the rich, plush white drapes that soften the hard exterior of this space.
